• Only Land Rover vehicles and parts and related accessories may be advertised at this site.



• Ads which promote Land Rover related businesses and services are not allowed unless the advertiser is a paid sponsor. If you wish to advertise a Land Rover business -- such as a dealership, parts distributor, service facility, warranty extension or insurance program, etc. -- the only way to do this is to become a paid sponsor of the Land Rover Exchange. • If you are representing a business and you are not a sponsor, it is acceptable to place one or more ads for specific vehicles or parts where each ad includes a one line reference to your company web site and/or your company name and telephone number. (This reference information is intended to be informational, not promotional.) If you represent a Land Rover business and you place one or more ads which list a selection of specific parts or vehicles which you are selling, be sure (1) to include specific prices for each item listed and (2) to avoid including any general promotion of your business (other than the basic information noted above).

LANDROVEREXCHANGE.COM will not rent, sell or otherwise release your account information (including your e-mail address) to any other party. LANDROVEREXCHANGE.COM periodically contacts individuals who have an advertisement posted. If you do not have a current advertisement posted, you will not receive any mail from LANDROVEREXCHANGE.COM. • Please include only one vehicle per advertisement; if you are advertising multiple vehicles, please post a separate ad for each vehicle you are selling. Only one advertisement per vehicle (or for one or more specific parts). Don't place multiple ads for the same vehicle (or for one or more specific parts). If two or more of the vehicles you are selling are identical in all respects (this would typically only apply to a new vehicle dealer with a very large inventory), you should place only one ad which should describe one of the identical vehicles.



• In placing your free ad at LANDROVEREXCHANGE.COM, you must provide your full, real name (not corporate name) and e-mail address. (In other words: "John Smith" and "John Smith, Westlake Motors" are fine, "John" and "Westlake Motors" are not.) Paid sponsors, at their option, may include only a corporate name with their ad.



• If you are selling a vehicle or parts, the city, state and country should refer to the current location of the item(s) you are selling.



• Except as noted herein, all input fields are required and must be completed. The model type and model year are only required if you are selling a vehicle; these two fields are optional for all other categories of ads. The HTTP Photo Address field is optional in all cases.



• In choosing the "Vehicle Type", please note that the NAS DEFENDER category is reserved exclusively for those Defender vehicles shipped into the USA and Canada by Land Rover North America in the model years 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1997. If the vehicle you are advertising belongs to one of these model years and was originally sold by a Land Rover dealer in the USA or Canada, NAS DEFENDER is the correct category. (NAS stands for North American Specification.) Please note that the DEFENDER category is intended for all other Defenders, notably those originally sold in markets other than the USA and Canada. If the Defender you are advertising was originally sold overseas and was subsequently imported to the USA or Canada, DEFENDER is the appropriate category to use. If the NAS DEFENDER category applies to your vehicle, you should use this category rather than DEFENDER. The NAS DEFENDER is the category that applies to most Defenders offerred for sale in the USA and Canada. For more information on determining whether or not a particular Defender is an NAS Defender, please refer to the Defender Registry.



• If you include a photo with your ad, it must be in the GIF or JPG format and must have a *.gif or *.jpg file extension. Once you have placed or updated your ad, you must confirm that your photo appears correctly in your ad. If it doesn't, you must (a) correct the photo link or upload so it does appear correctly, (b) remove the photo link, or (c) contact us immediately for assistance (provide specific details regarding what you did and how the system failed). If you choose to host a photo for your ad on a server other than LAND ROVER EXCHANGE's, it is your responsibility to make sure that that server continues to host that photo and that that photo is accessible to LAND ROVER EXCHANGE. Some Internet Service Providers, notably ANGELFIRE.COM, YAHOO.COM (through YIMG.COM), XOOM.COM, GEOCITIES.COM among others, do not allow links to photos hosted on their servers. If you try to link to a photo on their server, they return an image which is a commercial message for their service or a null file. As a result, links to images hosted on their servers are prohibited.
  
  Photos hosted on the LAND ROVER EXCHANGE server are intended only for use at the LAND ROVER EXCHANGE web site. Including links to these photos at other web sites is not allowed.

• Advertisements not updated will be automatically deleted after 60 days.



• Advertisement content must be truthful and in good taste.



• By advertising to sell vehicles, parts or other merchandise at this site, you agree that any dispute arising between you and the buyer of any item or items purchased as a result of an advertisement posted at this site shall be subject to adjudication and settlement by the Better Business Bureau or other independent non-profit or governmental entity as determined by the buyer of said item or items.



• Because this is an automated service, you are responsible for updating and/or deleting your ad yourself. If requested, LAND ROVER EXCHANGE will perform such service only upon the advance receipt of a payment of USD$ 25 for each update or deletion requested. In placing an ad at LAND ROVER EXCHANGE you acknowledge that a request that LAND ROVER EXCHANGE update or delete your ad for you will be subject to our prior receipt of this payment.



• If your account has been suspended for an LAND ROVER EXCHANGE rules violation and you wish to have it restored and this is your first account suspension, you must, in most cases, either (1) make a payment of USD$ 50 to immediately restore your account privileges (but in no event will your account privileges be restored sooner than our receipt of the funds noted herein) or (2) schedule a free account reinstatement 90 days following your request for such free reinstatement. If you opt for the free account reinstatement, you must send us a message requesting free account reinstatement, we must agree that you qualify by sending you a return e-mail acknowledging your request, and you must send us a copy of that return e-mail after 90 days have elapsed in order for us to process your account reinstatment.



• Failure to comply with any of the preceding rules will result in our suspending your right to use the Land Rover Exchange and Land Rover Forum.
