| I have desided to sell my 73 landy. I bought the rover in Houston, TX. The motor had been converted to a GMC petro straight 6 cly.. I disassembled it and had it painted. I had the wheels, bumpers, and hinges powder-coated. I reworked the front and rear special bumpers to include trailer hitches. I replaced the fuel system from gas tanks to carb.. I had the brake system worked on with the replacement of all four hubs and brake lines. I had the shocks replaced. I installed new insulation in the ca... etc., etc.

| The truck is gutted. Seats need new foam and reuppolstery but the seat frames are good. The dash needs to be replaced with a RHD top. The doors look great from the outside, but they need to be replaced. If you're good with metal work, have time and a welder, they are definately salvagable. They are rusted on the inside and it was my plan from day one to scrap them and get new doors. The overall frame is solid. The out rigger from the forward spring mount for the left rear spring is in need of re... etc., etc.

Lots of receipts from the previous owner from his restoration, for example: Wadsworth Panels, Dunsfold, Cox & Turner for the original 2.0 litre engine rebuild, and the stainless steel tank. Added things like turn signals and Defender mirrors (mounted on a bracket without drilling into the doors). Has both an Exmoor Trim soft top and an Export (Canadian) hard top. | I am selling my awesome 1973 Land Rover 88 Series III right hand drive. The vehicle is all original and has about 64,000 miles on it. Frame and cross members are rust free although the floor boards abutting the firewall have some rust that has been patched. The undercarriage has been undercoated at some point and looks real solid. To the best of my knowledge the vehicle still has the original ''tyres''. I am planning on embarking on a different hobby so, regrettable, the Rover must go. I've attached a pic but will gladly send more upon request. The truck runs and drives good but I've only ever putted it around Forest Service/ATV roads. | 1965 Series IIA 109 Station Wagon ($ 15,000.00 OBO) New engine purchased from Turner Engineering installed November 1995. Less than 3000 miles on it since it has been replaced. New wiring harness, Pertronics Electrical Ignition, and it has been converted to negative ground with the generator upgraded to a alternator. Installed Old Man Emu shocks as well as Rocky Mountain Leaf springs to both front and back. It also has a Farley overdrive. All tires (Courser 7.50 x 16) including the spare are in nice shape with plenty of tread. The interior is not perfect but pretty close to it. There is alittle rust on the bottom of the middle doors. | i have for sell a very well cared land rover series 3. recently i installed a 200 tdi engine that i imported from england. before fitting this engine i have done the timming belt, rear crankshaft seals, new water pump, thermostat and all checked before installing it. also i fitted an overdrive, new brake shoes, new brake booster including master cylinder, brand new kl71 kumho 31 x 10.5 tires. defender front seats fitted and new steering wheel. is very important to mention that the installing this new engine keep all thing in his place into the engine bay, i mean, the battery tray is in its place, the air filter in the same situation and the radiator is in the factory position as the rest of the items. total invested us$ 12000. finally this series is in costa rica, but i´m able to do all paper work to ship over the nearest por in florida, and of course if somebody want to take a look of the car is more than welcome to come a drive it.... |

| This truck was my daily driver until the wife and I moved out of town to continue our organic greenhouse operation. It has 137,000 miles and sadly must leave us. It runs good (needs a tune-up) and just replaced the passenger side CV joint. It has many dings, some rust, hail damage to the roof and hood, and a large dent in the front passenger side. | Been a fun truck but the time has come, 1973 109 XMOD FFR 24 Volt Right Hand Drive truck for sale. Has a 2.25 four cycliner with 51K on the clock, with a four speed transmission. Dual fuel tanks with a selector switch. 24 volt electronics has a huge allturnator, and dual batteries between the front seats. Has lots of replacement parts, Dash top, radiator, belts, clutch plates, clutch master cyclinder, front brakes and cyclinders, new carb, rebuilt starter, rovers north soft top with side windows, new center exhaust pipe, seat bottoms, recent oil change and filter, and a used set of 4 xzls spare is goodyear xtra grip. The not so good the rear cross member is showing signs of needing to be replaced, one of the outriggers has some rust issues, the passenger fuel tank has a small leak, the speedo does not work replaced the cable but somthing is up with it. Needs a licence plate light cover, and one rear brake light. Paint is typical 20 layer camo thats is flaking in spots, there a several dents and dings mainly that came with the truck when I bought it. A few of the rear floor rails are comming up. | This is a 2.25 series petrol motor with just under 14,000 miles on the clock. It was purchased from the UK as a British railways surplus rebuild in the mid '1980's, and lay dormant after being installed in a 1972 series 88, (a stalled project), which I purchased about 3 years ago, unfortunately the English fellow who sold me the truck was never able to provide me with the promised documents to prove this. The motor is a low compression head, and runs extremely well, absolutely no smoke even at start up, and only standard oil consumption, I've not really kept record, but it's very low. My truck has a higher ratio differential and this motor provides very lively performance even with the higher ratio. Sold WITHOUT manifolds, carb., starter, distributor, water pump, clutch and flywheel. | I am selling my MMB Hi Top roof, as I am going to use a Expo Lifting Roof for my camper conversion. It also comes with the 2 window sides, in excellent condition. The roof gives you an additional 12'' of head room inside, to just under 5' in the rear. There is a closeable storage area above the cab, where you could also house an electronic center, high and dry. | What a true, genuine original example. 200tdi diesel engine delivering 25-32mpg. We never see see Defenders with this low milage. Last owner had the car for 7 yrs and it always garaged during ownership. A genuine 68k miles from new. We have just fitted a serviced 200tdi (full cambelt change / oil and filter / and had the injector pump reconditioned at a cost of $1,200). | 1997 Defender 90 Wagon. It has all the standard equipment for this year. This Defender was originally a Beverly Hills, California car (no, really!) and it has 117,000 miles on it now. It was laid over on it's side and the Insurance Company totaled it out. You can see the damage in the photo. | I have a Fairey O/D that i am not using from a 72 S3. I have the linkages for it but it will need the clutch bearings for the input shaft. | Land Rover 109 station wagon, built in 1969 and sold new in England. RIGHT-HAND DRIVE. First registered in California in 1970. Was originally a 6 cylinder Rover engine and has had a bullet proof Chevrolet straight 6-250 since around 1982 (a neat and tidy installation which gives much more power). If you have ever driven a 109'' with a Land Rover four or six cylinder then you know just how underpowered they are. This is the answer. | This was sitting for about 3 years while I was assigned overseas. I got it up and running, but it still needs some work (some major (frame is in bad shape), some minor (could use a tune-up); see below) and I just don’t have the time to do it. She starts without any problems and runs well (though a bit rough) and, surprisingly for a Series Landie, doesn’t leak oil! She’s currently registered as an antique vehicle in Virginia and has seats and seatbelts for 9. THE GOOD: • 2.5 liter petrol ... etc., etc.

If you have a 90 or 110 that has a 4 cylinder or a 109 that has a Rover 6 cylinder and want to run the most reliable and dependable Mercedes OM617 5 Cylinder Turbo Diesel... we have completed the kit for manual transmissions. Note that this conversion DOES NOT fit the 88 or 109 that originally had the 4 cylinder 2.25 engine. The OM617 is found in many junk yards for $300 - $500 and is known for bullet proof reliability. | Description: 1965 Land Rover – Series II A 88 This Rover underwent a full frame-off restoration in 2005 by a master English car restoration expert in Los Angeles. Restoration was tastefully executed with a lot original patina untouched. Polished aluminum body (no paint) – beautiful straight body. No rust anywhere. Gearbox was rebuilt less than a year ago. Upgraded with a power braking unit (installed less than 1 yr ago). This makes a BIG difference when braking. 4x4 with high and low. New black interior and front carpets. Seats were done by a master craftsman (they are not the cheap seats bought from a catalog). Canvas top is less than a year old. Full tune-up performed less than a year ago. | Hello, I've got a set of leaf springs for a 109 that came with a frame-over kit that I'm looking to sell. It comes with a brand new set of ubolts for mounting. The springs are used, but in good condition. They've never been driven on. We did fit them to the truck during restoration, but decided to go with a set of parabolic springs. They rear springs did cause the truck to stand higher, so they may be heavy duty-1 ton springs. I'm not including shipping in the price, but will work with the buyer. They are rather heavy. | This Rover is like no other. Previous owner spent countless hours and $$$ turning this SUV into a rock crawling beast. Runs pefectly, needs nothing. It has been a weekend grocery getter for me, which is a waste of it's capabilities. Can drive to work and then to the trails as it's fully street legal, and very stable at highway speeds. | I'm selling off my collection of series 2a parts and a new richards galvanized chassis for a 109 staion wagon fitted with an auxilliary gas tank. some of the items are as follows--2 aux. stainless military fuel tanks in mint condition,2a bulkhead in very good cond maybe footwells only to be replaced,109 full hoopset and canvas,warn winch, fairey overdrive, 3 sets of front and rear axles, deluxe hoods, two motors and transmissions complete, one high compression and one not, 109 safari top in almost perfect condition, the 109 truck box , fenders and hood are military as with some of the other parts. Many hard to find and high dollar parts, truck was right hand drive, station wagon is left hand.Doors, windows, seat boxes,radiators,kodiak heater, etc. to much to list. These parts came off of an 65 3 door military and a 64 station wagon which is still somewhat together,tons of parts. lots of parts that I bought also. I have both vin plates and can provide bill of sale for both. I'll sell the chassis seperately for 2900.00 and the rest of the parts for 4850.00 or make me a reasonable offer. Thanks |
