Caracas-Georgetown Expedition

CARACAS-GEORGETOWN EXPEDITION Nostalgic about the first Camel Trophy, when Klaus Karthna-Dircks, Uwe Machel and 2 other German teams crossed the Transamazonica in 1980? Interested in driving through the Gran Sabana, the Amazon, crossing piranhas-infested rivers, makeshift bridges, mud patches, camping in the jungle, etc...? I am looking for serious LR enthusiasts interested in participating in such an adventure. I propose an expedition through Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana. Starting in Caracas (Venezuela, where the airfare from Miami, NY and Houston is cheap) and ending in Georgetown (Guyana) passing by Boa Vista (Brazil). This is a 6/7 days expedition (one-way). I could manage to get a couple of Land Rover Vehicles (Classic R/R and Series). A team of 2 persons per car. The return trip (Georgetown-Caracas) (yes we have to return the trucks) could be done by a set of different teams, otherwise it is a 15 days trip. If you are interested, drop me a note and I will send you more info. Claude Saint-Pierre cstp@telcel.net.ve
