We all agree that rust inhibitors are a "must".The same as it's preferable to use distilled water.You also need to have a "water wetter" to stop heat spots from developing in the system. There are now on the market products that contain rust inhibitors and chemicals to make the water wetter, but specerficily do not contain glycol.

Their arguement is that glycol is specificly designed to stop the water freezing, raises the freezing point. The downside is that this property also reduces the cooling ability? So, take the glycol out, keep the other goodies in and you have a better cooling "solution" (cocktail) for those warmer climats with no down side?
