Land Rover Reliability Posted by Rich on June 08, 1998 at 15:00:35: As someone interested in possibly purchasing either a Discover or a Defender (prefer the Defender), I have a number of questions for folks in the know - other than sales people. How do the two vehicles compare as regards to off-road capabilities? - can the discovery do everything as well as the Defender (or better?) I've heard a lot about electrical problems with British vehicles and am wondering if there are any problems of such a nature ? Also, what are some of the drawbacks (if any) of the Defender or Discovery? Any particular years to stay away from? What is the main difference between the 90 and 110? Can the Defender really go through water as deep as that shown in some commercials?? Thanks, Rich M
