Advice on modifications for an '88 RR Classic Posted by N. Bennett on June 07, 1998 at 12:45:22:
I know I am opening a can of worms on this one... I would like to know what the general opinion is as to the fitting a combo of poly bushings and Bilsteins versus the fitting of similar Land Rover stock equipment. I do not wish to add anti-roll bars (as I like the current level of articulation) and am pleased with the basic and stock state of suspension... but alas, age has set in (on the Range Rover, not me, of course), and these components will need refreshing fairly soon. I plan on having the Rover spend more time off-road in the future, and am looking for feedback from those "in the know". (related: I plan on replacing the springs with plans currently leaning on upgrading to a heavier duty LR spring as to handle the weight of the bull bars and pending winch). Thanks to all!:-)
