Hi,

Generally smallamounts of drive train clunk can be caused by small amounts of play anywhere.
If it is a major clunk, check the easy things first.
UJ's always a favorite of mine!! (I seem to replace them every couple of years!!
The other none drive train related part worth checking is the A frame ball joint (Only on coil sprung vehicles of course)
But when this goes it clunks on pulling away just like excessive drive train wear!!
I had this problem, I couldn't belive that this ball joint was the cause, but it was!!

Hope this offers some help.

cheers

Rob
