vehicle identity

Posted by pieter on June 03, 1998 at 06:38:45:

I have some questions concerning my series II or IIa?? It has chassisnumber 27500029A so its a seriesIIA, but under the bonnet lies a 2litre diesel engine nr 1460011491. And I think the engine is still the original. And 2litre diesels are only fitted to seriesII.
Now a few questions:
*Does the 29 in the chassisnumber means that my vehicle was the 29th produced of that kind (Export,LHstg,CKD)?
*What does CKD means? Does it means this vehicle was supplied to the Army (Belgian Army) ?
*Could it be that the factory still had some 2litre diesel-engine in store and that they've put them in the first SeriesIIA ?
*So is my vehicle a SeriesII or SeriesIIA?
