The truck is a 91 with 110K on it. I recently blew an upper radiator hose on a long highway trip. I replaced all the hoses, but at the time the truck overheated. Since then it has developed a tendency to stumble and misfire under any load, and at idle. The problem eases up after it has run for a little while, but doesn't go away. I checked the plugs (very white..due to over-heat or lean mixture? and replaced them), the compression (120-130, and 90 on #7, & all the cyls leak slowly). If its running too lean how can I adjust the mixture - Might I have bad head gaskets and/or a warped head (due to overheat) - Are the compression #'s so poor that I need to rebuild? I plan to replace the plug wires and check the alt. Opinions?
