Editorial rage ? which way ? Personally if any flame war started I'd excercise discretion and delete the offending item anyway.
Specific models ? Quite a few replies, for me are relevant across models eg 300Tdi etc.
Nationalistic ? For me I like to see the international content, gives a feeling of pseudo travel/ and who knows maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to attempt some of the US off road areas ( seeing as you are all spoilt rotten with them >:-)) ).

just my bit Bill, the site is still the friendliest and most usefull for me.
