Some suggestions for check points:
* Axle, gearbox, breathers to be raised as well to secure level, if
possible using filtered intake (e.g. small petrol filter) to minimise
dust intake. NOte some bell housings feature breather as well.
* Of course check bell housing drain plug.
* Timing belt chamber: same issue, however care to be taken leakage
oil is observable.
* Note that wading in clay containing water contacting seals requires
thorough cleaning before admitting vehicle to high road speeds.
I've seen Discovery with 80000 km having excessive more wear than
our LR 110 at 300000 km.
