I am replacing the rear X member on my 66 2a . The old one was corroded and accident damaged. I have bought a new one with chassis legs.

I beleive the correct measurement from the rear axle datum to the rear face of the X member is 100cm, can anyone confirm this? Does anyone know the correct measurement for the vertical position, and what datum is used?. Failing this, I will temp fix the rear tub and use the "Best Fit" principle.

Whilst the X member is off, I would like to wax the inside of the rear chassis, the waxoyl kits ive seen in the shops seem rather naff. Has anyone got a good way of spraying a large quantity of wax into a LR chassis?
