62 Series IIA Diesel-restore?

When I was young my father purchased a Series IIA diesel. It served as a farm vehicle between the years of 63 and 78. It has been sitting in Tennessee since then. The farm was sold, but I still have access to the Land Rover, though it has not been run since 84 when I rolled down the driveway, popped the clutch and took it for a spin on my last trip there. I would love to have a rover of my own, and of course that rover would be special. I learned to drive in it and it has many fond associations for me. Am I to assume that virtually everything will have deteriorated in the time it has been sitting, except for the frame? Having been a southern car it has never seen road salt and I expect the frame is solid. The body is intact except for fenders. Engine always burned blue smoke though I believe it was due to fuel injection adjustment problems. For $600 I can get it transported to Vermont where I now live. Does anyone have recommendations on what I would be facing? Or it's current value? Thanks. Jay
