Just tell the local police that the lamps produce 16,000
cp. They will NOT be able to verify that number, believe
me! You are correct in that stock fog lamps are useless
when simultaneously lit with the low beams, like most states
require. They should be lit only with the parking lamps
so that the low beams do not interfere with the flat-topped
fog beam. If you wish, I will be glad to follow up this note
with a description of how to wire the lamps up with a hidden
switch that will allow the lamps to be on "correctly," or, be
lit with the low-beams as required for state inspection.
