Yep... Sh-- happens! Sorry pal, but wear rate on cams is ONLY covered while the vehicle is under warranty, once out, it's your's. As with ANY v8 with pushrod camshaft, they will tand to flatted (wear) the cam, some sooner than others. Did 3 this week alone: '94 D90 w/75K+ miles, '88 RR w/159K mi, and an '89 RR w/275K. As normal dlr getting a bit pricey.... 8.5 hours MAX to change it out. Suggect fitting #204 Crane Cam w/crane lifters (204./124. ea). D90 bill yesterday incl all new belts, plugs, Syntec oil/filter, etc was $1270. out the door (tax incl).
