Posted by BG on June 18, 2000 at 12:11:47: And, NO, I'm not an idiot who tries to crank the wheel past the lock, as if I could decrease the turning radius with brute force - thank you very much, MG over at West Coast British. The groans are worse now, and occur everytime I put pressure on the wheel to the left or right, does not occur when wheel is at rest. I'll check steering pump hoses and belts, and let you know what I find. Of course, the local Land Rover Dealer will tell me I need a new pump, belts, transmission, engine, body, frame, etc., so the dealer is best left out of the loop on this one.
