I just bought my second Discovery this week. I had a '95 which
had some transfer case problems that my dealer promptly took
care of. I did some serious study before buying this one.
The '96's fixed the transmission case problem & really smoothed things out. The '96s had an engine valve problem in a few egines which the dealers took care of under warrant.
The '97s are big improvements in power & ride & creature comforts.
I have not heard of any serious problems.
I have driven Land Rovers since 1988 and they have improved
every year. I have had one of every model sold in America & over
all, I think the Discovery is the best value. I don't think you will
be disappointed.
