No doubt the lever connected to the H/L Diff-lock lever is binding. Looking under the R/H side of the car... look at the front output, the lever is on top/in board. While someone engages "diff lock" inside the car, watch the lever action. It may need taking apart and cleaning/polishing to free it up. MG
