I've owned a Discovery for the last 1 1/2 years, a 96. I've had a few problems; some run of the mill, some more serious such as rust. Remember the car is only 1 1/2 yrs. old. Some major oil leaks too.
The car really eats up a lot of gas, too. Expect to get less than 13mpg. It does have a nice ride. They are fun to drive especially off road. But I'm not totally convinced I'd buy one again. MOST IMPORTANT: make sure you have a good dealer for service. Check my other posted message about Zumbach in NY.
