I figured it out by running a voltmeter/ohmmeter across the various posts. In case anyone else runs across this problem, here's what I discovered:
The 5-post switch is for diesel engines (mine must have been converted)
Post 1 = not used (only hot when switch is in run mode, so could be used for a radio or some other device that shouldn't get power when the starter is cranked)
Post 2 = White/Red wire to solenoid start terminal (only hot when switch is being cranked all the way)
Post 3 = White wire to coil (via fuses) (hot in run position and when being cranked all the way)
Post 4 = For wire to diesel glow plug (only hot when vehicle cranked part way (you can feel that point in the switch) and all the way)
Post 5 = Brown wire to battery (via fuse and starter) (hot in run position and when being cranked all the way)
Thanks everyone and I hope this information may help someone else.
