Probably decent exhaust with better gas flow would give better performance at reasonable cost. Only problem in UK is that to do this means removing the cats which if found at random roadside check gives you a few days to change back and then get new test cert. Annual test would need chage-over as well. If regs in Aus are not as bad as in UK (I blame the Germans and the EU!) then change your exhaust.
