I noticed the same thing, and soon thereafter she was being towed from St. Simons Island to Atlanta for repair. It seems that this problem is somehow related to the thermostat. I had a bad thermostat and a leak in the coolant system. I asked the service tech about the sound of rushing water in the dashboard and she said this is also related. I hope this info helps.
