I own a 1968 Series IIA 109 (RHD). The 2.6ltr euro spec six cylinder engine is dead. A fellow nearby has a 3.5 ltr out of a 1970 Rover S1 that he has rebuilt. This seems to be a popular conversion in Great Britian and I would appreciate any assistance or advice on this project, specifically well does everything fit. I understand that it should be simpler for me with RHD to make the exhaust system clear the steering...is this really the case? I have also been told that it will not be necessary to move the radiator and that the bulkhead sheet metal will have to be moved out approximately 1.5 to 2.0 inches on each side to accomidate the extra width... any advice would be sincerely appreciated....either that or where can I get another 2.6 to rebuild? thank you
