I am not familiar with the "Nancy Debacle on Rover's North". I do know from my experience with the Land Rover Exchange that requiring a password virtually eliminates any unwanted trashing or spamming. I recognize that this may be slightly less convenenient for first time users. However, it does insure that people take a moment before entering a comment. And it avoids (so far at least) any need for a moderator. On the question of why another bulletin board: Well, several people suggested that I set this up, particularly after Rovers North reformatted their board. I did it partly because I wanted to see if I could get the code to work (when I am not driving my 110, I do lots of programming). Also, I felt that incorporating a search engine-- a feature not available on other Land Rover bulletin boards, to the best of my knowledge-- would substantially increase the value of the Land Rover Forum over time. So for the moment anyways, I will leave the password entry in place. But, your comments are always welcome. Cheers!
