89 RR likes to cut out at highway speed. It feels like fuel is cutting off and the vehicle stutters for a few and then picks up again. The fuel tank was replaced by a dealer. The alt was rebuilt. In desperation they now suggest replacing the starter?

Somewhere in the back of my head I remember reading something about an
ignition/electrical part under the hood that had a tendency to get hot
and cause problems such as mine. The solution was to relocate the
miscreant to a cooler clim. Do you have any suggestions?
