As you probably have noticed, normal FM radios suffer the "picket fence effect" when travelling in an area with lots of hard surfaces (buildings) or in a marginal signal area so that the signal varies a lot causing a sort of fft fft sound within the signal. By using two receivers, the stronger signal is automatically used and this dramatically reduces this problem. I do not know if these radios uses this system but that is what a true "diversity" system does. Michael
