I've recently bought a 1991 RR - my first real repair project is the sunroof. I actually pulled it from the vehicle to "get to the heart" of the problem. It turns out that on both the left and right track/channel the guide that the cable hooks into has broken. Talking to the dealer, I learn that I have to buy the whole assembly/track, that they don't just sell the one component. Needless to say the track assemblies aren't cheap. What I'm looking for is info from anyone who has dealt with this and suggestions if their are alternatives to replacing a poorly designed part with another (that may also break soon!) Any info is welcome.
