The best method I found for removing all the old paint off my IIA was to use liberal quantities of paint stripper. I completly stripped my station wagon right back to bare metal in one day.Totaly resprayed the next.Because the old girl has a pretty hard life and is used every day and I wasnt looking for a show room finish I used "HAMMERITE" machinery paint which is cheap extremely hard wearing and from 10 feet away looks 'professionaly painted ,One coat covers a multitude of imperfections . |
