I've used a Yakima rack for my 17' Navarro on top of a Suburban. Extremely stout product...70mph plus 25+mph crosswind. Can actually see the canoe deflect but the rack system stable. Unfortunately I have not found a way to utilize the rack on my Defender 90 yet. I don't know if the high-lift towers will clear the rear portion of your roof, but if it will fit, go with the Yakima.
