Fitting of a Fairy Over Drive is quite straight forward. You will need to remove the PTO cover from the back of the transfer case and then the gear on the back of the main shaft. The over drive comes with a new drive spline to go on the main shaft. You then bolt the over drive unit on the back of the transfer case useing the old nuts and washers. The kit comes with a template to mark where to make the hole in the transmission tunnel, then it's just a case of bolting the lever mount braket in place and connect up the lever. The most important thing to do is make sure you run a realy good oil in the over drive unit, preferably sinthetic because they don't hold much oil and are prone to running hot. Better still if you haven't got the unit yet and are running a differant motor to STD you should look at fitting a 5 Speed gear box from our Armadale 4WD Service Centre or Marks 4WD Adaptors. You can get in contact with either at www.space.net.au/~arm4wd.
