Whgat makes a Chevy any better than a Rover? NOTHING! Shouldn't have overheated it!!! You have a Water Temp guage... sorry but I can't feel for you. Someone screwed up, now ya got fix it (blame the wife!). To fit a Chevy engine (if you're in the USA) is ILLEGAL (contact EPA), as it doesn't comply in that vehicle (as per weights, etc). And, how are you going to re-wire it? The two ECU/EFi systems are totally differant! I'd call a wrecking yard abuy a used/running engine, or get someone who can overahul yours .... IT CAN BE DONE, we've done them before (Rover allows X to be machined off block & heads. MG
