Bad experiences at Zumbach

If anyone has had a bad experience at Zumbach LR dealer in NYC you may
be interested to know that I have too. In summer of '96 had some run
of the mill stuff done (oil change and some warranty stuff). Got the
car and door panel inside of car was smashed up. Brought it back to
have it fixed. Picked it up again and the entire top of the car was
dented because technician raised too high on lift. Then they did a
really lousy job of bodywork: over-spray, scratched window from a
sander, car was left filthy with dust all over interior. It just got
worse and worse. Finally cut my losses and dropped them. Never once
got a call of apology or maybe some token of good-will from them.
What's amazing is that this is apparently not an isolated incident.
There were three other people getting cars repaired who I encountered
while I was there (not all had Land Rovers) who had had similar ex-
periences. LIVE AND LEARN!!
