Are you positive it is the ignition switch? I have read on the Land Rover bulletin boards of this problem before, but it's not the switch.
It has something to do about the Range Rover being stuck in PARK, or the gearshift is jammed, so the ignition switch will not turn at all. I'm sorry I can't help you more, but before you start pulling out ignition switches, changing to universal switches, etc.,I would try to get more info. on the problem. I think the Discovery's were doing the same thing too. Many owners were writing in that they can't turn on the ignition, it was jammed.
