Attitude???

Posted by Gary on November 12, 1997 at 12:50:16:

I'm happy for you folks with good attitudes. I like that. However, I would need alot of attitude to make up for the leaky back door, the rattling back door, the buzzing bass speaker, the rattling sunroofs, the engine burning oil, an engine with no guts, THE REALLY, REALLY POOR SLOW SERVICE, etc. You can live in a dream world, dream of the African plains, dream you are on safari, play Jungle Jim or whatever but when I spend $36,000 I don't want to have to fantisize in order to justify the cost. I WANT MY MONEY'S WORTH. I wouldn't have a problem with a bug or two. I do have a problem with poor workmanship, poor quality and poor service. The Land Rover Discovery, based on my experience, is JUNK. I should have know when I met that first funny little man in the safari costume at the Land Rover dealer that LR's were not being sold based upon their performance, they were being sold by cleaver marketing centered on creating a sense of adventure and ramance. Keep fantasizing because that's pretty much the only thing special about LR's. Drive a Jeep - it's real.
