Just changed my 1995 NAS90 from manual to 10 year old Range Rover 4 speed ZF Auto. The on road driving is more smooth, the off-road driving coupled with KAM diff lockers front and rear can only be described as AWESOME! Had the conversion done by Phil @ Chichester 4x4 (UK), which was about his tenth auto conversion. The gearbox took about 6 months to find and needed to be test driven first and have all ancillaries (torque convertor, oil cooler, pipes, kick down etc) as these were obviously not on the manual. Finished the job with a genuine NAS90 Auto centre console and looksssssssssssss greaaaaaaaaaaaaat! Not sure if Phil has converted a 110, however, the basic principles are the same for 90 or 110 and in your case worth trying. Cannot say what effect on fuel consumption, the V8 manual was giving 18 mpg (UK) on road and 10 mpg (UK) off road and have not used vehicle enough since conversion to measure consumption. If you are in UK e:mail for more details. Regards Dave.
