I've had problems W/ my radios code..mostly it didnt want to be programmed, even though I had the right code. Check through all the paperwork you got with the car, look for a card from radio company...or just 4 numbers written inside of the owners manual someplace. Call the previous owner...see if the remember the code or have paperwork someplace, or can atleast say where they bought it. Check the dealership the car originally came from, and any others in the area. They can give you the original code for the car based on its VIN #. It wouldnt hurt to try that code even if you think its a replacement radio. Also check to see if they have records of selling a replacement radio. My local dealer has changed ownership atleast once, but still has records of when my car's first owner got his scheduled maintenence 8 years ago. If your dealer sold the radio he probably has the code on file.
