My Defender 110 V8 engine have the following problem that I need to solve:
1. when the wheels is on a straight postion the free play on the wheel is about 1" which I consider to be normal.
2. However, when the wheel is are in turning position (stationary) then the free play increase to about 4".

Could it be this is the cause that I found the car is a bit hard to drive on the curvy road as the steering is rather slow to response?

If yes, what shoul I check / do to correct it?
