Hello, Michael.

I'm happy to contact you again because I'm really concern with the problem described by Ken.
My Series IIA has got the same lack of power. It's getting worse and worse. My engine is 170 000 Kms old and aged of 34. The speed performances are exactly the same as Ken: a max of 40 Mph.
But the real problem isn't there: my petrol consumption is on average around 27 L/100 Kms. For English measures,it is more than a Rover V8... with 4 cylinders less.
I must precise that I have changed my Solex which was dead for a Weber too and no change in these figures.
The engine have been tuned by an Electronic tester FACOM in my local garage and all was OK. But the problems are still there.
- The carb is jetted for Land Rover.
- No blocks in airways because the Weber was new and all cleaned before fitting
- Exhaust smoke is very" nice": white and regular.
- I think the mixture is OK because the job was done by a professional

So, I DON'T UNDERSTAND.
I actualy think in making my engine re-manufactured by company such as TURNER Engineering if you see what I mean.

Does anybody see another solution?

TIA

Antonin
