Thanks for the correction, I also got your e-mail. Interesting history your Landy has. If its just the clutch needing replacement I would say to remove the engine is easier than to remove the gearbox/transfer case combo, specially if you do not have the proper transmission lift and adaptor. At least with removing the engine you can remove the bonnet and lift it with a cheap pulley system from a suitable roof beam (or substantial tree branch as I have seen done locally in Africa!) Support the gearbox front in a suitable sling from the chassis rails. Removing the radiator also give you a chance to clean and flush it properly.
