On a Discovery, which has permanent four-wheel drive, is it better to mount snow chains on the front wheels or on the rear? There are times when the local police require chains for going up to the ski area. My preference would be to mount them on the rear, since the front wheels already have enough to do, but I have been told they work better on the front because of the greater forward weight. Any ideas?
