Hi I've just bought at 300tdi disco and every time I accelerate there is a loud whistling noise coming from the engine, usually about 3000rpm. cant quite figure out where its coming from, but if I put my head out the window its louder also seemes to be coming from the centre of the console but in the engine if that makes sence!!! Pretty sure its getting worse, people I've spoken to say its normal for older 300tdi (105,000 miles) but I'm pretty sure its not!! Some one suggested turbo probs or air con probs? any ideas? thanks
