lifting disco 300tdi

Posted by kenny on December 29, 2006 at 14:11:53:

just bought my first landrover (300tdi disco) and as I do a bit shooting and off roading I want to lift it and get some bigger tyres on it, its totally standard just now and lookes pretty feeble! Can any one tell me whats the easiest option? ie biggest tyres with out lifting or Ive also looked at buying 2" procomp lift kit from MM-4x4 roughly 400 quid, is there other things I need to buy/take into consideration? would like to put 265/75r16s on, will 2" lift be enough? ( have seen general grabbers A/T in this size at a good price with wheels, however not sure if these are better compared to the likes of BFGoodrich, cooper etc, any ideas?) How will all this affect the road handling? Am I being too adventurist with these sizes? any good sites anyone can recomend for lift kits, tyres etc? And as for poly bush kits, are they worth while? do they really make that much difference? and what ones are best with a lift kit? I hope some one can answer at least some of my questions and any responce will be greatly appreciated. I've other questions to ask but will do them in seperate threads. ta
