| Stalling problem with my rover Posted by Michael Sherburne on December 09, 2006 at 18:47:42:
I've got an 88 Range Rover, 3.5 L V8 automatic with at least 150 K miles. As I slow down to about 5 mph, (approaching a stop sign usually) the rpms go way down and it stalls. This problem has gotten steadily worse over the past 2 years. At first it would only do it when I had the differential locked in low and now it does it all the time. Note: I'm pretty sure it only does it when it is warmed up, I don't remember it doing it when its cold. The check engine light is not on. A friend of mine thinks it has to do with the torque converter or a sensor involoved with its operation. If anyone can offer any thoughts or suggestions, it would be appreciated. Thanks
