Firstly, make sure you have got a hell of a lot of tools, space and time.
Secondly, you will probably be inclined to have the new chassis hot dip galvanised -but be careful not to let the galvagunk get into the holes that the bushes for your suspension have to go through, or else you will have to buy an adjustable reamer and slowly widen the hole out to the correct fit (I am still trying to find out what "the correct fit" is). Also, it is much easier to insert polyethylene bushes from both sides than to try to squeeze in those steel and rubber ones.
Thirdly, be caareful of the galvagunk going into the hole that the steering column goes through.
Possible solutions to the galvagunk problem are to fill the holes with plaster of paris, or use two wide washers held together with a bolt going through the chassis.
Doing a chassis swap is a golden opportunity to do the galvanising thing - and it will definitely raise the resale value!
Anyway that's all that I have learnt so far (I am also doing a chassis swap)

PS A reminder: You need engine/gearbox hoisting equipment too! Just in case it wasn't obvious.

Mike
