temp problems, no air, no heat.

Hi,

This is my first LR Discovery 1996 Deisel engine. I hope someone can help. I will try to detail as much as possible.

After a 3KM drive, I stopped for 10 minutes and restarted when a small white cloud appeared and then disappeared. Drove another 1 km, stopped for 10 minutes and started again when this time, a large white smoke appeared.

At this point, I added much water to the reserve tank, not that it looked like it was low, but by the amount of water put in, I felt that 2 litres or more were missing.

White smoke disappeared and drove the car for a good 2-3 hours (no problems, no rattling etc.) however, the airconditioner did not work.

Then, it happened, the temp on the engine started rising. Cooled it off by stopping on the side of the road or at times, turning on the heater (sometimes the heater worked, sometimes not). All I heard were bubles in the water reservoir. When engine cooled off, added more water. Does not look like there is a leak either.

I used the car since, and did not see any white smoke. However, the heater and air conditioner do not work and water does not seem to be circulating in the radiator (water sitting in the reservoir after being on idle for about 10 minutes.

Any suggestions on what to do before I take it to the shop.

Thanking you in advance.
Isaac
