93 RR LWB Electrical issues

Posted by erik on March 07, 2005 at 11:02:01:

I am having the exact same problem as described below from a past post. Can Anyone help me sort this issue?

A whole lot of the electrics failed all at once the other day on our 93 LWB.
It was very hot out at the time - about 90 F.
The A/C + the stereo were both running.
Things we lost included: Air cond fan motor, heater fan motor, int lights, sunroof, stereo, rear wiper (but not washer), clock, driver seat controls (but not passenger seat controls), seat/mirror memory function, mirror controls daytime running lights, and likely a few other things.

These items are controlled by fuses - A6, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B8, B9, C9, E1, E2, E3, E4. There is never power to these fuse blocks, no matter which position the ignition key is on.
E5 (radio) is hot when appropriate, but radio doesn?t work.
Cannot move driver?s sear so cannot check fuses D1,2,3,4,5 &6.
C1 (heated rear screen) is now hot all the time, as is C2 (rear window lifts, but they don?t work unless aux. ignition switch is on), and C8 (front window lifts, same as C2).

We did not lose: Head & side lights, turn indicators, front wiper & wash, power windows, passenger seat controls, and the car drives okay.

All fuses are tested and okay.

Using the circuit diagram & legends, I cannot find anything common to these circuits that would simultaneously cause them to fail.
