It would seem that if I were to buy a used Land Rover, I would have to take it to the dealer for service. I would also have to buy genuine Land Rover accessories and parts (I don't see Land Rover listed as a supported vehicle on most accessories and parts found in stores). I am planning to buy a 4x4 to travel the U.S. and Canada. I used to live in Australia and it was highly recommended to buy an Australian-made car if you were going to travel. It is more likely to find Ford and Holden parts in remote towns. Should I use the same thinking and buy a Jeep?
