Faulty starter? Posted by Nickolas on December 27, 1998 at 22:03:02: My 1972 88" SWB, 2.25 petrol wouldn't start today. I just get a hi-pitch whine when I turn the key. I was able to hand-crank start with no problem. Great feature. What is the procedure to isolate the starter problem? Is the starter repairable or only recondtioned units the way to go? Thanks,
