I do not know anything about 1997 D90's but I have a 1994 D90 with air and almost everything else one can put on a D90 and I have been very happy with my Rover. Newer is not always better? I am not sure about the later models but my Rover has performed flawlessly for me in the two and a half years it has "been in service" as the Brits say. I live in Montana and my Rover has been up against some challenging conditions and it has always come through without a hitch. I have driven it to and from the California coast and all through Montana, Idaho, Wyoming on a consistent basis. I have the hard top along with the rag top and two other 'tops' and they are fine. I am happy that I upgraded to the newer soft top because it is sealed better than the old one but my Rover still leaks with the soft top no matter what I do and I have a few leaks with the hard top but, overall, I am satisfied with my Rover. It is reliable. I tend to overlook the irritants of owning a LR because I love mine so much. Maybe, if there is a short-coming to my Rover, it is I who goes into denial when anything goes wrong with it. Best of luck with your hopeful purchase of a D90. It is a great machine. |
