I should have mentioned that easily available engines here are Toyota,
Nissan, and Ford 3L V6 Petrol. (I think it's called the Essex engine)

American engines are difficult to obtain cheaply, but Rover sedan engines are fairly easy to find. Chev straight six (either 3800 or 4100) are available too.
